Size It Up

Ever looked at a whale and a bus and wondered which one is bigger? Size It Up turns that kind of question into a visual puzzle. You get two silhouettes on the screen, but only one gives you a reliable size reference. Your job is to resize the other until you think the proportions are right. A guess that looks convincing can still be miles off, especially when the object is something you rarely see in real life.

How to Play Size It Up

  • Study the black shape: Check its size before doing anything else.
  • Change the size of the white shape by dragging its handle.
  • Look at the sizes: Apart from the general outline, take note of the width and height.
  • Enter your estimate and click Lock In to see your score and the actual measurement
  • Complete the challenge. Switch to Unlimited Mode or complete all five daily rounds for more experience.

Little tricks that can help

  • First give a rough estimate, then refine it slowly.
  • Imagine the target's actual dimensions by using familiar objects.
  • Don't assume a long object is also particularly wide.
  • Check the shape again before submitting; small differences can affect your score.
  • Remember your past mistakes. If you often make things too large, take another look before increasing the size.

More Than a Daily Puzzle

The daily challenge gives you five comparisons to solve. Once they're done, you can move to Unlimited Mode and keep playing. Geography Mode offers a different kind of test, with countries, US states, and lakes to compare.

Can You Trust Your Eyes?

That's where Size It Up gets interesting. But it is another thing to estimate its real dimensions without an obvious reference, however familiar the object may seem. The game is a reward for the careful observer, not the quick answerer. Play a few rounds and test if your eyes are as good as you think they are.
