Obby Roads – Driving on Suspended Tracks

Obby Roads is a driving game that combines vehicle handling with obstacle-course challenges. Instead of driving on familiar city streets, you must navigate tracks suspended high in the air.

The tracks are quite narrow. You will encounter gaps that require jumping, as well as obstacles and tricky turns. Speed isn't always the best strategy; sometimes, easing off the gas helps keep the car on the right path.

Starting a Level

First, get a feel for the car. Press the accelerator to move forward, then use the steering controls to keep the vehicle on the track.

When you encounter a gap, press the Space bar to jump across. After landing, avoid sharp steering movements, as the car could easily slide off the edge.

Checkpoints along the track are crucial. If you happen to fall off, restarting from the nearest checkpoint saves you a lot of effort.

Controls

  • W / ↑: Accelerate
  • S / ↓: Brake or reverse
  • A / ←: Steer left
  • D / →: Steer right
  • Space: Jump

On mobile devices, the game uses on-screen touch controls.

Tips for Easier Driving

Slow down before turns. Making sharp turns while moving fast makes it easy to lose control.

Time your jumps carefully. Don't just press Space the moment the track layout changes.

Pass through checkpoints. Make this a priority when navigating difficult sections.

Don't prioritize speed. Some narrow sections require slower driving to stay on course.

Replay difficult sections. After a few attempts, you’ll memorize the locations of jumps and turns.

Vehicles and Levels

Obby Roads features various vehicles to unlock as you play. Some are compact, while others resemble race cars or trucks.

Level designs vary in their track layouts and obstacle placement. Consequently, simply holding down the accelerator won't guarantee you reach the finish line.

Play Obby Roads

What makes Obby Roads stand out is that it turns a vehicle into the protagonist of the obstacle course. You have to drive, time your jumps, and keep the car from falling off the track.

A level can be completed quite quickly, but a single mistake means starting over. As you get used to each section of the course, your performance will improve.
